SALUDA RIVER TROUT FISHING

The Lower Saluda River is about the last place you would think of fly fishing for trout in the state of South Carolina. It’s far from the mountains. but the cold water coming from the bottom of the lake  makes this possible. The state stocks both rainbows and brown trout there. South Carolina harbors three species of coldwater trout: brook, rainbow and brown. Here, the tributaries draining the higher elevations comprise the mountain streams where the SCDNR manage the trout population. STRIPER FISHING MIDLANDS OF SC

South Carolina is notorious for good striper fishing and lots of big stripers come out of major lakes including Clarks Hill Lake, Fishing Creek Lake, Lake Blalock, Lake Bowen, Lake Greenwood, Lake Hartwell, Lake Jocassee, Lake Keowee, Lake Marion, Lake Monticello, Lake Moultrie, Lake Murray, Parr Reservoir, Lake Russell and Wateree Lake.
